Larry’s 9th Birthday Party

Larry’s 9th Birthday Party

A Perfect Memorial Day Celebration for Larry’s Birthday

Memorial Day brought beautiful weather, great company, and an unforgettable celebration for one very special dog — Larry. Set near the scenic bluff in North Portland, the day was filled with laughter, friendship, wagging tails, and plenty of treats shared among both dogs and humans alike.

For the past three years, we’ve had the honor of providing treats for Larry and his buddies as part of this annual celebration. Watching them light up with excitement each year has become something we truly look forward to. Larry and his crew absolutely love them, and being part of these memories means so much to us.

This year’s gathering included Larry, 11 other amazing dogs, and a wonderful group of people who came together to celebrate. The atmosphere was perfect — sunshine, fresh air, and the kind of joy only dogs can bring. Every pup brought their own personality, energy, and charm, making the day feel incredibly special.

Larry himself is simply awesome. His spirit, friendliness, and connection with everyone around him are exactly why he holds such a special place in our hearts. In fact, Larry has become part of the Heightscream team because our love for animals runs deep, and dogs like him remind us every day why we do what we do.

Tilly gets new red stripes

It has been upwards of 15 years since the first stripes.  Well, I got the best respirator at home depot, krylon and paint sprayer.  First, the prep.  Oh my, lots of cleaning and taping.  Of note, quite a bit of overspray with a spray gun but it was super fun and looks nice.  Of note, the respirator and key to the process as well as thinning the pain with mineral spirits.

Hopefully will get another 10 years.

Foster cat or…….

Foster cat or…….

Introducing our newest kitty.  Technically, she is a foster kitty.  Her story is… she showed up with 2 kittens and was brought to a rescue.  Heightscream CEO fostered all 3 so the babies could grow and the babies (brother/sister) were adopted together.  Olive though started bonding with the Heightscream staff and doggies.  It is unclear Olive’s foster status but we sure love her.  She is our new kitty physician.  “Dr. Olive”

Carb, Intake and Exhaust Manifolds

Carb, Intake and Exhaust Manifolds

Tilly started backfiring, poor acceleration and clunking sound.  Didn’t sound like a piston rod, push rod, valve as plug pressures 120-150 psi. Sounded like intake or exhaust issue or carb.  Heck, on a 39 year old motor, could be anything.  None the less , taking apart the engine.  Hopefully we don’t have to open the entire engine.  Lots of sensors and vacuum hoses.  All of which could not be working well. And a manifold bolt was broken in the engine block.
