One thing I learned and enjoyed was a class called Home Ec. I am not even sure if they teach this class anymore but I was taught fundamental skills like balancing a checkbook, baking, sewing etc. I really enjoyed the class and actually enjoyed sewing. I think it was one reason I went into medicine and enjoy the suturing. Nonetheless, Tilley’s seats were getting a bit nasty and I decided to sew new seat covers. I brought up my singer sewing machine, I went to the fabric store, I cut out the design and after a few practice versions created new seat covers. The ice cream one is for traditional events and the wilder one is for practice. It was a great time and I enjoyed the outcome, the process required a bit of patience. Those that do this well are priceless.
